Lotus Forms
Forms are the basis of many business processes so in order to move from manual, paper-based procedures, you need a tool like IBM Lotus Forms (previously Workplace Forms). Based on open standards including Xforms, you can use Lotus Forms to gather information, validate it with digital signatures and integrate it with other systems.
IBM Lotus Forms consists of three products:
- Lotus Forms Designer – for creating e-forms.
- Lotus Forms Server – consisting of three components (API, Deployment Server and Webform Server) depending on your integration and deployment needs.
- Lotus Forms Viewer – for viewing, completing, and submitting forms. In a typical scenario, when a user goes to a Web site, the Viewer automatically opens as a browser plug-in. The Viewer can also be used as a standalone application.
IBM Lotus Forms software also works within IBM WebSphere Portal, making your portal even more effective at delivering your business online to customers, employees and partners. With Lotus Forms in your customer self-service portal, you have the ability to drive forms-based processes electronically.
